Drawing power from the ancient Stone Plate, the Original One forfities Himself with the extremely coveted resistance to both Brave Bird and Sacred Fire simultaneously. Combining this with His supreme bulk and Speed, Recover, as well as His ability to strike Ho-Oh down from the heavens with a single ray of petrifying light, and it becomes clear that Arceus-Rock is by far the best counter in existence to the Rainbow Pokémon, which has become far more threatening than ever in the past thanks to the Defog buff making Stealth Rock almost impossible to keep on the field. In addition to the aforementioned fact, the Defog buff has also benefited Arceus-Rock immensely, as the Rock Forme of the Creator is one of the Übers metagame's best users of this move, and the fact that Will-O-Wisp now misses only half as often as it used to allows Arceus-Rock to work as a great check to Extreme Killer Arceus lacking Lum Berry, as well as many physical attackers in general. Unfortunately, with the weather nerf, Arceus-Rock can no longer abuse the 1.5x Special Defense boost He attains under a sandstorm anywhere near as effectively as in previous generations, although such a nerf is insignificant compared to all of Arceus-Rock's previously-mentioned advantages.

    Arceus-Rock Analysis Arceus-rock

    Arceus (Arceus-Rock) @ Stone Plate
    Ability: Multitype
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Defog
    - Judgment
    - Recover
    - Will-O-Wisp

Aside from countering Ho-Oh and checking some Arceus-Normal and physical attackers as mentioned above, this Arceus-Rock can anti-lead pretty much every entry hazard user that does not know Taunt, by simply burning them with Will-O-Wisp, a move that also serves to weaken the power of some attacks that are super effective against Arceus-Rock such as Groudon's Earthquake and Forretress's Gyro Ball, before using Defog, Recover, and possibly Judgment repeatedly until the opponent's entry hazard user succumbs to its burn. This Arceus's Rock-type Judgment is also a great move for smiting Pokémon such as Yveltal, Rayquaza, Kyurem-W and Reshiram, as well as for finishing off slower foes once they are weakened.
